Softball Recap: Three Rivers Bulldogs vs. Ganado Indians

Three Rivers and Ganado squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Three Rivers had to settle for second. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Alyson Gomez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Three Rivers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Pullin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Three Rivers and nudges their season record down to 26-6-1. As for Ganado, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5-1 record this season.
