Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Schuylkill Valley's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Schuylkill Valley won the last time they faced Wyomissing and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 8-4.

Katelyn Raymond spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, Brooke Angstadt was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. Kayla Konetsky was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Schuylkill Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wyomissing, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schuylkill Valley will head out to face off against Susquenita at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wyomissing, they will venture away from home to challenge Conrad Weiser at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
