Russellville suffers seventh straight loss on the road

Recap: Russellville Panthers vs. Butler County Bears

This season hasn't been kind to the Russellville Panthers, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were beaten by Butler County 93-59 on Thursday. Russellville has not had much luck with Butler County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Lawson Rice continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Butler County, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 19 rebounds. The contest was Rice's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Price, who scored 28 points along with five assists and three steals.

Russellville's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Butler County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Russellville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hopkins County Central at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Butler County will take on Evansville North in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at. Evansville North will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 167th in Indiana, while Butler County is ranked 12th in Kentucky).
