Waubonsie Valley owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Batavia Bulldogs by a score of 3-0. The three-run effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Batavia's batters probably weren't too happy with Owen Roberts, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk).

At the plate, Waubonsie Valley's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hiroshy Wong, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Connor Beren also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Waubonsie Valley and bumps their season record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Batavia, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Looking ahead, Waubonsie Valley will square off against Oswego at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Batavia, they will host Lake Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
