Meanwhile, Corona del Sol faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Aztecs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Huskies.

Corona del Sol not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hamilton between 17 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-20.

Corona del Sol's win bumped their record up to 34-6. As for Xavier College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 34-2.

Xavier College Prep took their win against Corona del Sol in their previous matchup back in October by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
