Ohio County came out on top against McLean County on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run first inning. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ohio County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-17-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for McLean County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-13-1.
