Football Recap: Orrick Comes Up Short

If Orrick was riding high fresh off their 56-8 takedown of Keytesville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bearcats lost 38-12 to Norborne/Hardin-Central on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 46-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Although Orrick took the loss, they still got scores from Levi Fielder and Lucas Walker.

Leading Norborne/Hardin-Central to victory were Zach Deitch and Sam Barnett. Deitch gained 127 total yards and a touchdown, while Barnett picked up 26 receiving yards and two TDs. That's the most receiving touchdowns Barnett has posted since back in September of 2024.

Orrick's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Norborne/Hardin-Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Orrick will face off against Concordia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Norborne/Hardin-Central, they will square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
