Recap: Stillwater Warriors vs. Tioga Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Stillwater Warriors can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Tigers on the road and fell 63-14. Stillwater's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Stillwater lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Jaxon Mueller. Despite the final result, he rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry.
Tioga's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Macumber, who rushed for 141 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Macumber is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Bellis, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Stillwater's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Tioga, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Stillwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tioga also has no future games currently scheduled.
