Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Spring Valley's offense was headlined by VictoriaIsabelle Diaz-Mitchell and Ava Temoney, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Kennedy Newton and her seven assists. Finally, Kylan Stone kept Spring Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Batesburg-Leesville, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 8-10-1 record.

Spring Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Andrew Jackson on the 6th. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against T.L. Hanna on the 6th.
