Basketball Recap: Lafayette County Comes Up Short

Lafayette County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richmond Spartans on Tuesday. The contest marked the Huskers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Richmond was led to victory by Gabriel Johnson and Nolan Quick. Johnson dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds, while Quick posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Dryden Hendrix, who scored 11 points and six boards.

Lafayette County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 15-4. As for Richmond, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
