Football Recap: Tremont Takes a Loss

Tremont lost against Deer Creek-Mackinaw back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Turks were outmatched by the Chiefs and fell 42-13. While losing is never fun, the Turks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Chiefs are ranked 229th).

Tremont's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Tremont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-14 victory against Fieldcrest on the 12th. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 41-0 defeat against El Paso-Gridley on the 12th.
