Football Game Preview: Northwest Texans vs. Bell Blue Raiders

The Northwest Texans will venture away from home to face off against the Bell Blue Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Northwest is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against V.R. Eaton last Friday. The Texans were just a hair shy of victory and fell 31-30 to the Eagles. The Texans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, Northwest's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Uriah Crawford.

Meanwhile, Bell is still undefeated this season after their contest against V.R. Eaton on Friday, but V.R. Eaton came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Blue Raiders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-37 victory over the Eagles.

Bell's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Northwest against Bell when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-7 victory. In that game, the Texans amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
