Volleyball Recap: Monomoy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Monomoy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Westport Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While Monomoy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Monomoy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ella Cutter had 19 assists and two aces. Cutter is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Monomoy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Westport, their record now sits at 9-10.

Monomoy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westport, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Calvary Chapel Academy on the 24th.
