Sacred Heart Prep is 9-1 against Menlo School since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Sacred Heart Prep will head out to face off against Menlo School at 4:00 p.m.

Friday just wasn't the day for Sacred Heart Prep's offense. They lost 9-0 to Menlo-Atherton on Friday. The Gators have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Sacred Heart Prep got a good showing from Kyle Sweeney, who struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Sweeney has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Menlo School, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over San Mateo on Thursday.

Ben Salama made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Freehill, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Menlo School's record is now 4-7. As for Sacred Heart Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Menlo School's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Sacred Heart Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Menlo School, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Sacred Heart Prep keep running through batters, or will Menlo School buck the trend?

Sacred Heart Prep skirted past Menlo School 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Sacred Heart Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Menlo School turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
