Manhattan entered their tilt with Northwest on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They didn't even let the Grizzlies on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Manhattan never let Northwest on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24.

Leading Manhattan to victory were Janie Hilgers and Evie Ruliffson. Hilgers had ten digs and one assist, while Ruliffson had eight digs and one assist.

Manhattan's victory bumped their record up to 28-8. As for Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 30-8.

Coincidentally, Manhattan and Northwest will both be playing Blue Valley West the next time they take the court. The Indians will host the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Grizzlies will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
