Baseball Recap: Ringgold Victorious

After only one run in their last contest, Ringgold made sure to put some runs up on the board against Charleroi on Friday. Ringgold blew past Charleroi 10-2. The Rams not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Angotti, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Kolano, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Ringgold's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Charleroi, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Ringgold and Charleroi will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Ringgold will challenge rival Elizabeth Forward at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Charleroi is set to square off against their familiar foe Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
