New Prairie is 1-9 against South Bend St. Joseph since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. New Prairie took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). Everything went their way against LaVille as New Prairie made off with a 12-1 win. New Prairie's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
New Prairie got a massive performance out of Emily Mrozinski, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Randi Robakowski was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, South Bend St. Joseph had just enough and edged Morgan Township out 4-3 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for South Bend St. Joseph.
South Bend St. Joseph also got a great performance from Olivia Borsodi as she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (she also didn't allow any walks).
At the plate, Mary Stack was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Camille Potter, who went 1-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.
