Eastern entered their tilt with Lynchburg-Clay on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 53-42 victory over the Mustangs. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Mustangs are ranked 488th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addy Carraher, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 16 points. Joslyn Rockey was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Eastern's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Eastern will challenge Miami Trace at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-36 victory against Blanchester on the 17th.
