It was a good run, but Evangel Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their 16-game winning streak dating back to last season on Friday. They fell just short of the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings by a score of 4-2. The loss put an end to the Lightning's undefeated start to the season.

Evangel Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ASHER EVANS, who went 2-for-3 with one double. CARTER NORRIS also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Evangel Christian fell to 9-1. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Evangel Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Bethlehem Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will square off against Elmore County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
