Baseball Recap: Lodi Wins Going Away Against College Achieve Paterson

Lodi had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt College Achieve Paterson on Wednesday. The Rams were the clear victors by a 20-6 margin over College Achieve Paterson. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 8.6 runs per game.

Jayr Figueroa was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Lodi let Angel Alfaro and Jonas Martinez run wild. Alfaro scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Martinez scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Alfaro has posted since back in May of 2024. Ryan Reynoso was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Lodi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Lodi back to even at 2-2-1.

Lodi has already played their next matchup, an 8-1 loss against Hasbrouck Heights on the 11th. College Achieve Paterson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
