Baseball Recap: King Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact King can now relate to. They fell just short of the McKeel Academy Wildcats by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Lions were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior), but the Wildcats' pitchers proved too tough.

Alex Hernandez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

With the loss, King broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-13. As for McKeel Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McKeel Academy, they will challenge Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
