Volleyball Recap: Jersey Village Comes Up Short

Jersey Village was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aledo Bearcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-18.

Aledo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophie Frank, who had 12 assists and ten digs. Another player making a difference was Kailey Hamilton, who had five digs and four aces.

Jersey Village's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Aledo, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Jersey Village has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Freeman on the 14th. As for Aledo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Canyon on the 14th.
