Volleyball Preview: Memorial Warriors vs. Independence Knights

The Memorial Warriors will head out to challenge the Independence Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Memorial took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Heritage as Memorial made off with a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18, 25-23.

Addison Childers and Brinley Williams were among the main playmakers for Memorial as the former had eight digs and 13 assists and the latter had ten digs. Childers is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted eight or more in the last 12 games she's played.

Meanwhile, Independence was able to grind out a solid victory over Emerson on Friday, taking the game 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 28-26, 25-18.

Memorial's record now sits at 19-12. As for Independence, their record now sits at 15-8.
