Liberty came tearing into Wednesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Roosevelt Roughriders. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Avery Huh made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabella Rockey, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emi Connell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Liberty lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Liberty's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against Ballard on the 16th. Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
