Basketball Recap: Moss Point Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Moss Point extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by the Harrison Central Red Rebels and fell 59-24. The Tigers were down 45-20 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Kirsten Bailey was Moss Point's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Trinity Magee held things down on the boards with five rebounds. Zaria Nettles took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

As for Harrison Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 55.5 points this season.

Saniyah Murray had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 22 points and 20 boards. What's more, she posted five steals, the most she's had since back in January. Dee Bracey was another key player, putting up eight points.

Moss Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 18-17 defeat against Ocean Springs on the 18th. As for Harrison Central, they will challenge Columbia at 3:00 p.m. on the 24th.
