Recap: Maplewood Rockets vs. Windham Bombers
The Maplewood Rockets had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 57-46 win over Windham on Thursday. For Maplewood, this counts as revenge for the 37-30 loss Windham walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Maplewood found their leader in underclassman Morgan Himes, who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Himes has scored at least 25% of Maplewood's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauran Krieg, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Maplewood's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Windham, they bumped their record down to 4-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Maplewood will be playing in front of their home fans against Mathews at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Mathews is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Windham, they will head out on the road to face off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Harding focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 42 on Thursday.
