Basketball Game Preview: Madisonville Mustangs vs. Palestine Wildcats

Madisonville hasn't had much luck against Palestine recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Madisonville Mustangs will be playing at home against the Palestine Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Madisonville didn't have quite enough to beat Bullard and fell 57-54.

Meanwhile, Palestine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-59 heartbreaker at the hands of Center. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 638th, while the Roughriders are ranked 286th).

Palestine's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Madisonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-7.

Madisonville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Palestine when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 61-55 win.
