Preview: Brooklyn Hurricanes vs. Clearview Clippers
The Brooklyn Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the Clearview Clippers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, Brooklyn suffered a tough 58-35 defeat at the hands of Independence. Brooklyn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Clearview, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-40 loss to Wellington on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Clearview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 678th, while Wellington is ranked 312th).
Brooklyn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Clearview, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Brooklyn against Clearview in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 56-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brooklyn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
