Basketball Recap: Center Takes a Loss

Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bullard Panthers. The Roughriders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 53-46.

Center's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Bullard, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center has already played their next contest (against Rusk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bullard Panthers take on the Palestine Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Palestine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
