Soccer Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

If Woodland was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of McDonough on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolfpack came up short against the Clarkston Angoras on Friday, falling 6-1. The matchup was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Woodland it sure didn't stay that way.

Their goal came courtesy of Kiley Wright, who's now up to 15 this season.

Woodland has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Clarkston, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6-1.

As of now, neither Woodland nor the Angoras have any future games scheduled.
