Basketball Recap: Birchwood Skates Past Cornell with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Birchwood). They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 88-48 victory over the Cornell Chiefs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bobcats have posted since February 9, 2024.

Birchwood's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Cornell, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

When Birchwood and Cornell next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Birchwood will challenge New Auburn and their four-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Cornell will try to stop Clear Lake's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
