Basketball Recap: NYOS Charter Takes a Loss

If NYOS Charter was feeling good fresh off their 46-24 takedown of IDEA Round Rock Tech back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The NYOS Charter Jaguars took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Founders Classical Academy Archers on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Archers: they've now lost five in a row.

NYOS Charter's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Founders Classical Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the NYOS Charter Jaguars take on the KIPP Austin Collegiate Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Founders Classical Academy, they will head out to square off against Idea Pflugerville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
