Basketball Recap: Albany Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Albany had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They rang in the new year with a 51-41 win over the Rio Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Albany's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Rio, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Coming up, Albany will challenge Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio has already played their next game (against Pardeeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
