Lincoln Charter had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the West Wilkes Blackhawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Adam Rodgers made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reed Osborne, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

Lincoln Charter's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for West Wilkes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.

Coming up, Lincoln Charter will challenge R-S Central on Friday. The Hilltoppers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. West Wilkes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
