Basketball Game Preview: Covington Buccs vs. Miami East Vikings

Covington is 1-9 against Miami East since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Buccs will challenge the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Covington can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Ansonia.

Meanwhile, Miami East played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Northwestern and fell 81-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since January 25th.

Covington couldn't quite finish off Miami East in their previous matchup back in February and fell 57-55. Can the Buccs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
