Danbury lost against St. Paul back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lakers lost 16-8 to the Flyers. Even though they lost, the Lakers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Logan Shepherd was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Tyler Harris was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Danbury has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for St. Paul, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danbury will host St. Mary Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Paul, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Edison at 11:00 a.m.
