Volleyball Recap: Decatur Christian Warriors vs. DeLand-Weldon Eagles
Decatur Christian had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the DeLand-Weldon Eagles. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Leading DeLand-Weldon to victory were Makenna Woods and Karlee Fenton. Woods had ten aces, while Fenton had eight aces. Those ten aces gave Woods a new career-high. Maddison Rigg was another key player, getting five aces.
DeLand-Weldon now has a winning record of 6-5.
Decatur Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Urbana University at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for DeLand-Weldon, they will take on Warrensburg-Latham in a tournament on Saturday.
