Season Preview:
IMG Academy has established itself as more than just an elite football program — dominating competition on the hardwood as well in recent years.

Over the summer, the Ascenders stockpiled one of the most talent-rich rosters in the nation, adding a loaded crop of transfers to a pair of elite returning starters.

Farrakhan, a Top 50 Class of 2020 prospect, and Green, a Top 10 Class of 2019 recruit, return to the 2018-19 starting rotation joined by three 5-star upperclassmen. Senior big men Bacot and Robinson-Earl, and junior guard Springer round out the daunting starting five.

The Ascenders will have every opportunity to distinguish themselves as the top team across high school basketball next season with a December schedule that features Sunrise Christian Academy, Oak Hill Academy, DeMatha and a trip to the City of Palms Classic.

The sky is the limit for this ultra-talented group primed to make their second appearance in GEICO Nationals while in search of their first-ever win at the national championship event in late March.
