Basketball Recap: Moscow Takes a Loss

Moscow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Minneola Wildcats and fell 68-35. Moscow was not able to make up for their defeat to Minneola from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Levi Lang continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Minneola, going 11 for 23 en route to 30 points and six steals. Lang is becoming a predictor of Minneola's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 5-2 (and 1-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Tyson Klotz, who posted ten points and three steals.

Moscow's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Minneola, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Coming up, Moscow will square off against Satanta at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Minneola, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats challenge the Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on February 14th.
