Economedes hadn't done well against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Jaguars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wolverines. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Jaguars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Alessey Rodriguez paced Economedes' offense, picking up five kills. Rodriguez got some help from Gabriela Maldonado and her ten assists. Rodriguez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
