Soccer Recap: Muncy Takes a Loss

Muncy's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 5-2 to the Hughesville Spartans. The loss continues a trend for Muncy in their meetings with Hughesville: they've now lost nine in a row.

Landyn Burns wasn't going to let Hughesville walk away unscathed as he scored both of Muncy's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Muncy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hughesville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Muncy will face off against Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give Muncy their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Hughesville, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Selinsgrove on the 3rd.
