2A Flatirons recap November 5, 2013
Faith Christian's Daniel Langewisch recorded the longest rushing play in 2A Flatirons this season in his game against Aspen last week. Langewisch's team defeated the Skiers as he sprinted for 72 yards on the play and finished with 265 in all.
Faith Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Aspen, 49-14. The victory was the sixth in a row for Blair Hubbard's team.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Adam Buchmann threw for 37 and 1 touchdown and Grant Harkness had 21 yards receiving. On the ground Langewisch contributed 265 yards. Gunnar Caldwell helped Faith Christian's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 29 yards.

The Pinnacle's Hector Venegas and Juan Cortez have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Venegas has thrown for 669 yards this season, while Cortez has 22 catches for 254 yards. The Eagles' Langewisch leads the league in rushing yards with 1,155.
The Academy lost to Brush 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
