Cathedral won the last time they faced Center Grove, and Mia Stubbs did her part to make sure it happened again. The Fighting Irish were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans on Tuesday thanks in part to Stubbs, who had 35 assists and five digs. Stubbs is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Cathedral walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.

Center Grove's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Avery Bastein, who had seven digs and three aces, and Skylyr Merriman, who had ten digs and one assist.

The victory made it two in a row for Cathedral and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Center Grove, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Cathedral will venture away from home to face off against Assumption at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Center Grove, they will square off against Plainfield at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
