Recap: Estero Wildcats vs. Lemon Bay Manta Rays
With a playoff game on the line, the Estero Wildcats rose to the challenge on Thursday. They took down the Manta Rays 68-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Estero also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Brady Knutson, who scored 34 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Arrington, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Lemon Bay saw an underclassman step up: Elias Gambrell scored 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kaden Keir, who scored 11 points.
Estero is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for Lemon Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
Estero's road trip will continue as they head out to face Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th. Gateway knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Estero likes a good challenge.
