Softball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

Highland fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Munster on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 8-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Highland and nudges their season record down to 7-4. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-4 Andrean (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75% over those games). As for Munster, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Highland has already played their next game (against Hanover Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Munster, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against Andrean on the 28th.
