Basketball Recap: Mountain City Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Mountain City Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Sitka Wolves, falling 71-38. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

When it comes to explaining why Mountain City Christian Academy lost, don't look at Jaidhen Oyao. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Lukas Underhile, who had eight points and three steals.

Mountain City Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Sitka, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Mountain City Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-53 victory against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 14th. As for Sitka, they have also already played their next game, a 77-61 win against Lathrop on the 14th.
