Baseball Recap: East Rochester Extends Winning Streak to Three

East Rochester extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 13-3 in the process. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the North Rose-Wolcott Cougars 6-4. The game was the first time the Bombers have beaten the Cougars on their field since April 29, 2019.

As for North Rose-Wolcott, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 26, 2024.

For North Rose-Wolcott's part, Lathan Milliman put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Milliman was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

Looking ahead, East Rochester will be playing at home against Williamson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bombers will need to watch out since the Marauders have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for North Rose-Wolcott, they will take on Marion at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars are facing the Black Knights at the right time seeing as the Black Knights are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
