Basketball Recap: Dalton Boyd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Seneca over Harbor Creek

Seneca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 62-37 to the Harbor Creek Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Huskies are ranked 272nd).

Seneca lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dalton Boyd, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Deane, who posted 13 points.

It was another big night for Tucker Chwatek, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 26 points in addition to eight boards and three steals for Harbor Creek. With that strong performance, Chwatek is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was JT Delsandro, who put up ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Harbor Creek, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Seneca wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-37 loss against Jefferson Area on the 28th. As for Harbor Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-49 defeat against Marion Harding on the 28th.
