Valentine not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Gordon-Rushville Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-8.

Mia Sherbeyn paced Valentine's offense, picking up 19 kills. Sherbeyn got some help from Devahney Belville and her 36 assists. Sherbeyn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Valentine is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Gordon-Rushville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.
