Baseball Recap: Winn Comes Up Short

Winn has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.06 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the MacArthur Brahmas, falling 10-4. That makes it the first time this season the Mavericks have let down their home crowd.

Winn's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for MacArthur, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Winn is taking a road trip to square off against Harlandale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last seven games the Indians have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for MacArthur, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
